Its common activities are skateboarding, rock climbing, skydiving, surfing, bungee jumping, hang gliding, BMX and other sporting events that seem to defy death itself. You may think that people participating in such sporting events have a death wish, but with all the safety equipments available today, injuries and death occur rarely.

From my personal point of view, I find extreme sports more adapt to my likings as the rush of adrenaline excites and procures me the pleasure I require of any sport. And as a person who loves the sea, I, of course love surfing. However, finding a good spot in Lebanon for that activity is pretty hard. Although, after a lot of searching, I did find a good spot on Ramlet El Bayda. But you can only surf there during winter because the shores of Beirut are linked to the Mediterranean Sea, which means that we only get a 5-6 m level of waves during strong winds, i.e. a storm!
Furthermore, I also do BMX, which is stunt riding on rough ground or over an obstacle course on a bicycle. In Lebanon, you can find skate parks in Bremmena, Sin El Fil and in Sharkiya and also in Zaytouna bay.

Ski & Winter Sports in Lebanon
With the onset of winter, Lebanon has once again proven itself to be the center of winter sports and snowy white capped slopes in the Middle East. . With its snowy mountain range situated above a beautiful narrow coastal strip, the country remains unique in offering its visitors the ability to ski on snow in the morning while still being able to dip into the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean in the afternoon. Having six wonderfully equipped ski resorts catering to skiers and snowboarders of all levels to choose from, tourists can enjoy the splendor of snow available while still being only an hour away from some of the country's most beautiful touristic sites. Regardless of location, whether the Cedars, Faraya-Mzaar, Zaarour, Faqra, Laqlouq, or Qanat bakiche, all resorts are highly equipped for the common goal of offering both security and comfort to the public whether it is required for an adult or an infant. Ski resort Altitude Distance The Cedars 1850-3087 120 km Laqlouq 1750-2200 60 km Faqra 1800-2400 45 km Faraya-Mzaar 1850-2500 45 km Qanat Bakiche 1900 60 km Zaarour 1700-2000 40 km (Height is in meters, and distance (in Km) is calculated from Beirut.) Visitors can enjoy Cross Country and Alpine skiing in addition to paragliding, snowmobiling, and hiking before returning to the luxurious yet simple hotels and chalets available. However, you can also do ice-skating in Lebanon in the first ever mobile outdoor ice skating rink in Beirut. Located in the up-scale Beirut Souks, this exciting arena will let beginners experience ice skating for the very first time and let experts show off their moves. With a capacity for up to 100 skaters at a time, you won’t have to wait long for your turn to bask in a magical atmosphere. Should you get sore feet or tired, take a break and chill at the kiosks surrounding the arena offering food, drink and sweets. Parents may drop off children to skate and sip coffee or enjoy meals in the neighboring cafés and restaurants overlooking the ice skating rink. Unfortunately, this arena will be open until the end of February only so hurry down and give it a try! Sadly, Lebanon doesn’t offer the opportunity to do hockey, sledge hockey, winter football (also known as bandy),broomball, curling, ice stock sports, ringette, snow rubgy, beathlon skiing, cross country skiing, kite skiing, ski archery….and when it comes to sledding luge is the only thing available, as for snowboarding: boarder cross and slalom aren’t available.
