Movies That Celebrate Love :

Movies, a 2012 Kickstart :
Rayan's Guide
Must Watch Movies that are no longer, or never were, in the Box Office:
- Never Let Me Go:
Never let me go is a 2010 British utopian drama film, based on the novel of the same name, by the Japanese-British author, Kazuo Ishiguro. The movie’s screenplay is written by Alex Garland, and directed by Mark Romanek. Starring Carrey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield & Keira Knightley.
Plot: The film begins with onscreen captions explaining that a medical breakthrough in 1952 has permitted the human lifespan to be extended beyond 100 years. Subsequently, the film is narrated by 28-year-old Kathy H. as she reminisces about her childhood at Hailsham, as well as her adult life after leaving the school. The story revolves around three children Kathy, Tommy & Ruth, who have spent their childhood at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. As they grow up and start discovering feelings such as love and care for one another, they face their inescapable reality: they are not like other human beings; they are destined to no future at all.

- The tree of life:
Dear people, I went to the movies to watch this film, counting on the fact that Brad Pitt’s movies are rather interesting. Although the trailer was quite interesting, I was disappointed when I saw only exploding volcanoes, underwater videos of fishes and weird species, ovules, & space. Now the movie is supposed to be talking about the loss of a couple’s son. But all we hear is “where are you” along with the documentary videos. Now I’m sure it is a very deep and interesting movie to watch, but do not, under any circumstances, watch it in the movies. I personally got kicked out of the theatre, along with my friends, from laughing too hard, mostly of boredom and shock. I did not see it coming. And we did not get a ticket exchange. So, if you go to the movies to “have fun”, “The tree of life” is probably not the best choice of films. Bottom point : if you're lebanese, don't watch it.
